Luc Mbah A Moute inks deal with Clippers

Luc Mbah a Moute and the Los Angeles Clippers have inked a deal after the swingman finished one season with the Houston Rockets.

The two parties put pen to paper late Monday, first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The contract will include a $4.3 million dollar payout for one year of the talented guard’s services.

The swingman has established himself as a huge defensive presence with every team for which he has played. Since entering the league, he has made an instant impact for teams looking to advance in the defense category.

Mbah a Moute played for the Clippers from 2015-2017 until last year when he signed a one year deal with the Rockets. While on the dominant Western Conference powerhouse, Mbah a Moute and Trevor Ariza spearheaded the effort to turn the Houston Rockets into a real defensive threat. With both of those players gone, Houston has been dealt a crushing blow.

This move heavily benefits the Clippers as they add an elite defender that has, in recent years, turned into a fairly reliable three-point shooter.

This loss in free agency is certain to help the Golden State Warriors as they look to secure their reign over the Western Conference.
