Michael Jordan Takes Playful Jab At Hornets’ Players

During this seemingly never-ending quarantine period, basketball fans across the globe are chomping at the bit for some news to keep themselves entertained. With the release of “The Last Dance” occurring just weeks ago, the basketball world has found themselves addicted to the series, which gives a detailed look inside Michael Jordan’s Bulls. Due to the massive amount of attention the series has gained, Jordan has been trending on just about every platform available. So, it came as no shock when the one NBA insider leaked an interesting quote from Jordan during an interview in 2015.

During an interview with France’s L’Equipe in 2015, Jordan was asked if he believed he could compete against some of his guys at his current age. The then-52-year-old Jordan responded saying the following: “I’m pretty sure I can, so I don’t want to do that and demolish their confidence. So I stay away from them, I let them think they’re good…but I’m too old to do that anyway.”

While Jordan seems to be just joking with that response, there may be some truth behind his playful jab. Back in 2013, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist stated that he once played a game against Jordan and lost. A more current response to the quote came from Hornets’ forward Miles Bridges, who responded via Twitter:
